F. Scott Fitzgeralds Great Gatsby can be seen as a sweet that deals with a mankinds pursuit of the American day- breathing in. During the 1920s, many strove to achieve the American ideate; having a family, wealth, and felicitousness. Success was marked by 1nesss achievements and the American dream was supposedly attainable for all. Gatsby tries to live out his dream by believing that wealth will buy him the pleasure that he once had in the past. The theme of beting for the disintegrating American dream is apparent in Gatsbys characteristic hopefulness, family life, and unfortunate coercion with wealth. Gatsby has a gumption of hopefulness that is necessary to anyone trying to live the American dream. He starts off as a poor man in love with someone that he cannot have because of affable differences. However, sort of of completely disregarding his wishes of marrying Daisy, he does everything in his mogul to earn her approval. It is apparent that beginning in his chil dhood, Gatsby has a unafraid sense of hope. Growing up in a factory call down household, he wishes to better himself.
